DERMAL FILLER

Aftercare and Advice

What to expect after a dermal filler procedure

You may feel numbness or tingling, moderate swelling, redness, bruising and tenderness immediately after the procedure. Tenderness around the injection site is normal, which typically subsides within 72 hours. Mild, non-painful swelling can last up to 2 weeks. Bruising is often visible immediately following treatment, often increasing on day 2, before fading over a week or two. Sometimes bruises can last for 4-6 weeks, this will not affect your end result.

How to reduce the chance of infection

  • Do not touch the treated area for 6 hours

  • Do not apply makeup over the treated area for 24 hours

  • If you need to wear a facial mask, ensure it is clean at all times and change regularly
